After class on monday, we decided to get in the spirit of Spain and play “fútbol” in the courtyard inside of the University. While the baskeball hoops didn’t seem to be in the greatest shape, you could definitely tell the field has been in use. It wasn’t too hot so we took some time to relax from a busy first week and played a few games of basketball and fútbol. Besides the court, the University also has a gym in the basement along with a cafeteria.
One dish that I have come to love in Spain is the Spanish Omelette, otherwise known as “tortilla de patata”, essentially an omelette with potatoes and sometimes onions. From a country that loves it’s ham, its nice to know they have some vegetarian staple dishes as well.
